Introduction

Welcome to the University of Colorado Denver Learning Resources Center Study Skills Workshop. You will be able to use this site to navigate through various tips and techniques that may assist in your university career. The information in this online site was adapted from the group workshops that are available on campus. If you would prefer to attend one of those sessions, the schedule and registration link are available through the study skills link at www.ucdenver.edu/lrc. If you have questions or want more individual help with a particular topic or course, you may contact Lynn Mason by phone at (303) 556-2843 or by e-mail at lynn.mason@ucdenver.edu to schedule an individual appointment.

These online workshops were developed for students who are not able to come to campus, whose schedules do not match the times for the group workshops, or for those who prefer to study independently. As part of each workshop, there is a short quiz which you may take for feedback on how well you understood the ideas and concepts. In addition, an advisor or professor may have asked you to study a specific skill which he/she has identified as a problem area for you. In this case, you must take the quiz and either e-mail it to Lynn Mason at lynn.mason@ucdenver.edu or make an appointment by calling (303) 556-2843 to discuss your results with her. She will then be able to provide verification for your professor or advisor.
